Befriending in Runnymede

Our Runnymede Social Prescriber (aka the Health and Wellbeing lead at Runnymede Borough Council) is launching a new Befriending Service for residents of Runnymede. At this point she is focused on recruiting volunteers and has asked that we circulate the information to people who might be interested in this type of volunteering.

We will also be given details of how residents who would like to use the service can sign up, but NOT YET; the new volunteers will need to be DBS checked and trained first to avoid any delay for residents using the service. We understand the initial training will be online and take a couple of hours. In the future there will be opportunities do more detailed / in depth training if you want this.

If you're interested please sign up direct via the Runnymede Borough Council website form
